With less than a week to go till the next Star Wars instalment starts streaming on Disney+, Lucasfilm has released a brand new clip from Obi-Wan Kenobi which illustrates the tense relationship between Kenobi (Ewan McGregor) and Uncle Owen (Joel Edgerton).
With Ewan McGregor and Hayden Christensen currently doing their round of press to promote the series, the duo recently appeared on UK chat show Lorraine to debut the footage.
In the clip, the two men are quarrelling over the fate of Luke Skywalker, as Kenobi wishes to teach the boy the ways of the force if he begins to demonstrate any powers. Meanwhile, Owen Lars has much different plans in mind for the child and isn’t afraid to let Kenobi know his thoughts on his behaviour.
The series stars Ewan McGregor and sees the return of Hayden Christensen, with Moses Ingram, Joel Edgerton, Bonnie Piesse, Kumail Nanjiani, Indira Varma, Rupert Friend, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Sung Kang, Simone Kessell, and Benny Safdie joining the leading duo.
Obi-Wan Kenobi premieres on Disney+ May 27 with the first two episodes.
