Following the debut of Ryan Reynold’s action-comedy blockbuster Free Guy this weekend, the gaming flick has opened to an impressive $51 million debut.
According to the Deadpool star, the House of Mouse are VERY interested in a sequel, which he revealed over on his Twitter account yesterday.
Reynolds pointed out the irony of this update, due to the original IP status of the flick along, with Taika Watitit’s character mocking sequels and follow-ups in search of a pay day. However, it appears the box office has spoken and we’ll probably see director Shawn Levy and Reynolds return to the universe.
