After years of speculation, negotiations and plenty of rumours, The Witcher star Henry Cavill has taken to social media to finally confirm his return to the DCEU following THAT cameo.
“What we just saw is a very small taste of things to come,” revealed the actor in his latest Instagram post, “The dawn of hope renewed. Thank you for your patience, it will be rewarded.”
The mid-credits cameo marked his first time in the role since 2017’s Justice League, with a creative overhaul at DC the main reason pinpointed for the doubts over the comic book characters future, particularly following the body double featured in Shazam!’s credit scene.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, despite no writers or directors attached to the project, the intention is for Cavill to star in at least one solo Superman movie following the Black Adam cameo.
