“Wonder Woman 1984”: New look at the Golden Eagle armour

As 2020 draws to a close, there’s still one major comic book movie left to round off the year – Patty Jenkins’ highly anticipated sequel, Wonder Woman 1984.

Marking only the second of Warner Bros.’ comic book adaptations to actually be released this year, there’s a lot riding on the film. It certainly hasn’t had an easy journey to the big screen, facing numerous delays over the year due to the pandemic.

Warner Bros. has announced that the film will be heading to streaming service HBO Max, along with cinemas, in the US on Christmas day. European fans will have the chance to see the sequel from the 16 December, restrictions permitted.

In the meantime, thanks to a new release from the @DCEUPosts Twitter page, we have another glimpse at the stunning Golden Eagle Armour! The image shows Wonder Woman suited up with fallen soldiers around her, presumably in a battle with Cheetah (Kristen Wiig).

Check out the still below:

Fast forward to the 1980s as Wonder Woman’s next big screen adventure finds her facing an all-new foe: The Cheetah. As previously announced, the film also stars Kristen Wiig in the role of the Super-Villain The Cheetah, as well as Pedro Pascal. Chris Pine also returns as Steve Trevor.

Charles Roven, Deborah Snyder, Zack Snyder, Patty Jenkins, Stephen Jones and Gal Gadot are producing the film. Rebecca Roven Oakley, Richard Suckle, Wesley Coller, Geoff Johns and Walter Hamada are the executive producers.

Wonder Woman 1984 hits UK cinemas 16 December 2020.
