Transformers 5: Title and First Teaser Released

The title for the fifth and last Transformers installment that will be directed by Michael Bay has officially been announced as Transformers: The Last Knight. Ohhh, mysterious! In conjunction with the title reveal, a cheeky little teaser was released featuring Optimus Prime, giving us a great big hint at just who the last knight might be! Check it out below…

The title is a huge reference to the Knights of Cybertron, a mythical and immortal group who existed on the planet Cybertron, who are considered to be the original Cybertronians. Since Optimus gained some old school armor and a mighty fine sword in the previous installment, Age of Extinction, this does kind of point towards him as being the titular last knight. However, the teaser doesn’t give much away as filming for The Last Knight doesn’t start till next month.

Directed by Michael Bay and starring Mark Wahlberg, Jerrod Carmichael and Isabela Moner, Transformers: The Last Knight is scheduled to land in the US and UK on June 23, 2017.
