Well this is story is turning into a bit of a rollarcoaster! Following the report from Charles Murphy that production on the upcoming Disney+ Hawkeye series will be postponed indefinitely, Disney have seemingly debunked the rumour.
In the latest update on the report, Verge reporter Julia Alexander has claimed that Disney reps have denied the statement, stating it’s “completely inaccurate” and that sources within the studio have “vehemently denied it.”
It appears that the main delay that’s fuelling these rumours is the fact that Marvel want to cast Hailee Steinfeld as Kate Bishop, but her deal with Apple TV is causing certain delays.
The upcoming Disney+ series will follow in the footsteps of the four Marvel Cinematic Universe heroes joining television shows in Wandavision and The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.
