Following on from the hit 2019 original, Warner Bros are set to release their latest DC outing with sequel Shazam! Fury of the Gods. The second instalment once again follows Billy Batson and his fellow foster family who are still learning how to juggle teenage life with their adult superhero alter egos.
However, their lives are thrown upside down (again!) following the arrival of a trio of ancient gods on Earth in search of the magic stolen from them long ago. The Shazam family are thrust into a battle for their superpowers, their lives, and the fate of the world.
We recently had the amazing opportunity to sit down with director of Shazam! Fury of the Gods to discuss how he approached the sequel, code names, his love for horror, terrifying unicorns and what he’d like to do next.
