Rumour: Captain America villain Crossbones may return to the MCU

Following the announcement of the introduction of alternate worlds and timelines in the Marvel Cinematic Universe thanks to Doctor Strange sequel In the Multiverse of Madness, we might start to see some familiar faces return to the MCU.

One villain that was gone before his time was Frank Grillo’s Hydra operative Brock Rumlow/Crossbones, who made his first appearance in Captain America: The Winter Soldier but then sadly met his explosive end in Captain America: Civil War.

According to MCU Cosmic, Crossbones may just be returning to the universe, following his cameo in Avengers: Endgame.

Marvel is looking to bring back Crossbones in some way and are in discussions about it now. It could be something like seeing an alternate universe Crossbones in the Madness of the Multiverse that Doctor Strange will be dealing with next year, or it could be something bigger than that.

The site also went on to deliberate whether he could become a permenant villain for Sam Wilson’s Cap to deal with in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, or even a member of the Thunderbolts.

So what do you think of the return of Crossbones? Let us know in the comments below!
