‘Promising Young Woman’ finally has a UK release date this April

Emerald Fennell’s Oscar and Bafta nominated Promising Young Woman is set to skip cinemas in the UK and Ireland, and will instead debut on Sky Cinema and NOW streaming service on 16 April.

The critically acclaimed revenge thriller will stream exclusively as a Sky Original title and unfortunately isn’t reportedly getting a theatrical release once UK cinemas re-open in mid May.

Sky has partnered with Focus Features and Universal Pictures International for the release, which stars Carey Mulligan as the fierce lead.

Mulligan plays Cassie, with fellow co-stars including Bo Burnham, Laverne Cox, Alison Brie, Connie Britton, Adam Brody and Christopher Mintz-Plasse.
