Director Patty Jenkins has shared the first theatrical poster for upcoming sequel Wonder Woman 1984 with Diana (Gal Gadot) sporting a brand new golden armour, set against a vibrantly colourful background.
The director also announced that unfortunately Warner Bros. isn’t going to Hall H this year, as they won’t be officially starting the WW84 marketing campaign until December.
Looking closer at the psychedelic poster and Diana’s new costume, it appears to be an interesting variation on the Golden Eagle armour, minus the wings and beaked helm. Could we potentially be seeing a full version near the end of the film perhaps?!

By now you’ve heard: WB isn’t going to Hall H this year. We’re so sad to miss you there! And waiting until Dec. to start our official #WW84 campaign in full– But the truth is… we can just… barely… wait… pic.twitter.com/QllFzhYRA6

Fast forward to the 1980s as Wonder Woman’s next big screen adventure finds her facing an all-new foe: The Cheetah. Principal photography is underway on Warner Bros. Pictures’ follow up to the Super Hero’s first outing, last summer’s record-breaking “Wonder Woman,” which took in $822 million at the worldwide box office. “Wonder Woman 1984” will also be helmed by acclaimed director Patty Jenkins, and star Gal Gadot in the title role.
Wonder Woman 1984 hits theaters on June 5, 2020.
