Paramount releases a new behind-the-scenes look at training prep for ‘Snake Eyes’

Paramount Pictures UK has released a brand new behind-the-scenes featurette, titled ‘prepare for battle’ with the cast and crew of upcoming G.I Joe prequel, Snake Eyes.

Delving into the fight choreography and weapons training the cast had to undergo to prepare for their roles, legendary fight co-ordinator Kenji Tanigaki and stunt co-ordinator Kimani Ray Smith explain how they helped shape this crucial aspect of the film.

Cast members Henry Golding, Andrew Koji, Samara Weaving and Ursula Corbero are also interviewed on how the experience of the intense training went for them, with Weaving commenting “It’s very intense, but it’s super fun. It’s like learning to dance, but you’re bruised at the end!”

Snake Eyes: G.I. Joe Origins stars Henry Golding as Snake Eyes, a tenacious loner who is welcomed into an ancient Japanese clan called the Arashikage after saving the life of their heir apparent. Upon arrival in Japan, the Arashikage teach Snake Eyes the ways of the ninja warrior while also providing something he’s been longing for: a home. But, when secrets from his past are revealed, Snake Eyes’ honour and allegiance will be tested – even if that means losing the trust of those closest to him.

Snake Eyes is set for release in UK cinemas on 18th August 2021.
