New poster and trailer released for Gurinder Chadha’s ‘Blinded by the Light’

Entertainment One has released a brand new poster and trailer for upcoming 80’s flick Blinded by the Light.

The film is inspired by British journalist Sarfraz Manzoor’s memoir, who was two years old when his family emigrated from Pakistan to join his father in Bury Park, Luton. Manzoor struggled in his teens between his two identities, being British and Muslim. That’s until his friend introduced him to the music of Bruce Springsteen…

Set in 1987, during the austere days of Thatcher’s Britain, BLINDED BY THE LIGHT is a joyous, coming-of-age story about a teenager who learns to live life, understand his family and find his own voice through the words and music of Bruce Springsteen. BLINDED BY THE LIGHT is inspired by British journalist Sarfraz Manzoor’s memoir “Greetings From Bury Park.”

Blinded by the Light is directed by Gurinder Chadha (Bend it Like Beckham, Viceroy’s House) and stars Viveik Kalra (Next of Kin, Beecham House), Kulvinder Ghir (Bend it Like Beckham), Meera Ganatra (PREMature), Nell Williams (Game of Thrones), Aaron Phagura (Doctor Who), Dean Charles-Chapman (Game of Thrones, Breathe), Hayley Atwell (Avengers: Endgame) and Rob Brydon (Swimming with Men).
