New Falcon and Winter Soldier series in the works on Disney streaming service

Following the news that Loki and Scarlet Witch will be getting their own solo TV shows on the upcoming Disney streaming service, it seems as if heroes Falcon and Winter Soldier will be teaming up to join the roster!

According to Variety, Empire writer Malcolm Spellman has been attached to the project, marking the first of the new Marvel shows to find a writer. The two heroes are expected to team up in a limited series, which is predicted to span six to episodes.

Unlike the Marvel/Netflix shows, this new roster will be produced by Marvel Studios and Kevin Feige, and will reportedly have a much more substantial budget than their Netflix counterparts.

The two have had an interesting to say the least friendship, with Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan) and Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie) coming to blows in their first meeting in Captain America: The Winter Soldier, which saw Bucky brainwashed and under the influence of HYDRA. The two then fought (begrudgingly) side by side in Captain America: Civil War and then in Avengers: Infinity War. Following their hilarious car scene (“can you move your seat up?” – “No”) I’d love to see a buddy team up between the two!
