With one week to go till the highly anticipated fourth season of The Duffer Brothers’ Stranger Things, Netflix has released the first eight minutes of the first episode online.
The streaming service has also confirmed that they’re splitting the season into two parts, with volume 1 (comprising of episodes 1-4) debuting on 27 May, while volume 2 (comprised of episodes 8-9) are released on 1 July.
The series picks up six months since the Battle of Starcourt, which brought terror and destruction to Hawkins. Struggling with the aftermath, the central group of friends are separated for the first time – and navigating the complexities of high school hasn’t made things any easier. In this most vulnerable time, a new and horrifying supernatural threat surfaces, presenting a gruesome mystery that, if solved, might finally put an end to the horrors of the Upside Down.
Over 5 hours longer than any previous season, Stranger Things supersized season four launches with Volume I on May 27 and includes epsiodes 401-407.
