Get your best ballgown and hat ready, as streaming giant Netflix has announced period drama Bridgerton is set to return for a second season.
The show, which is based on Julia Quinn’s series of books, proved a real hit for Netflix over the festive period, so this announcement comes as no surprise.
The second season is set to focus on Bridgerton sibling Anthony (Jonathan Bailey) and his search for his soulmate, based on the second book of the series, The Viscount Who Loved Me.

The incomparable cast of Bridgerton will return to production in the Spring of 2021. This author has been reliably informed that Lord Anthony Bridgerton intends to dominate the social season. I will have my pen ready to report on any and all of his romantic activities.
