McKenna Grace to play young Carol Danvers in Captain Marvel

Actress and Gifted star Mckenna Grace is set to play a young Carol Danvers in the highly anticipated Captain Marvel!

According to That Hashtag Show, when Grace was first announced as playing an undisclosed role in the MCU, many fans speculated she was going to play young Captain Marvel superfan Kit Harrington. But the website has confirmed that the actress will be playing a young Carol, and will share the majority of her scenes alongside Kenneth Mitchell, who was cast as Carol’s father Joseph Danvers, in scenes they are told are set in the 1980s.

Actress Ana Ayora has also been confirmed as joining the cast of Captain Marvel, in another undisclosed role! She is most well-known for her role as Nina Cruz in the Cinemax Banshee and has also appeared in Ride Along 2, The Big Wedding and Marley and Me.

Set for release in the US on March 8, 2019, Captain Marvel is directed by Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck. The film stars Academy Award® winner Brie Larson, Samuel L. Jackson, Ben Mendelsohn, Djimon Hounsou, Lee Pace, Lashana Lynch, Gemma Chan, Algenis Perez Soto, Rune Temte, McKenna Grace, with Clark Gregg, and Jude Law.
