Apple has released the emotional first trailer for the star-studded upcoming drama Swan Song, which features Mahershala Ali, Naomie Harris and Glenn Close. The story is very reminiscent of an episode from anthology series Solos, which starred Anthony Mackie’s character Tom and his newly created clone, following a terminal diagnosis.
Set in the near future, “Swan Song” is a powerful, emotional journey told through the eyes of Cameron (Mahershala Ali), a loving husband and father diagnosed with a terminal illness who is presented with an alternative solution by his doctor (Glenn Close) to shield his family from grief. As Cam grapples with whether or not to alter his family’s fate, he learns more about life and love than he ever imagined.
Written and directed by Benjamin Cleary, Swan Song stars Mahershala Ali, Glenn Close, Naomie Harris, Awkwafina and Adam Beach. The film is set for release on streaming service Apple TV+ 17 December 2021.
