Kitty Pryde film in the works from Brian Michael Bendis + Tim Miller

Wow, now this is a surprise! The Hollywood Reporter has reported that Deadpool director Tim Miller and one of the biggest comic book writers at the moment, Brian Michael Bendis, have teamed up for an X-Men spinoff spotlighting Kitty Pryde!

The website has reported that the duo have been working on a project called 143, with Bendis writing the script and Miller directing the film. The project’s code name is in reference to Uncanny X-Men No. 143, which is one of Kitty Pryde’s earliest issues in which she faces the N’Garai demon in the X-Mansion. The issue was written by Chris Claremont and John Byrne in 1981.

Kitty Pryde is a huge fan favourite character and has previously been played by Ellen Page in 2006’s X-Men: The Last Stand and 2014’s X-Men: Days of Future Past, so it’ll be intriguing to see who’s going to play the mutant next.

So what do you think of this spinoff film? Let us know in the comments below!
