Kingsman prequel “The Kings Man” delayed to 2021

With Warner Bros. hoping Tenet kick starts the return of the cinematic calendar, Disney is not quite so enthusiastic as prequel The Kings Man has been rescheduled to from Sept. 18 to Feb. 26, 2021.

Following the news that big budget blockbuster Mulan is heading straight to streaming service Disney+, the studio appear to be following suit with the Matthew Vaughn directed film.

According to Deadline, Disney are playing the long game for theatrical releases – aiming for the US audience, particularly Los Angeles and New York, to return to cinemas in order to make their money back at the box office.

With The New Mutants out this Friday in US cinemas, and previewing in UK and Europe cinemas this weekend, it’ll be interesting to see how well the X-Men spinoff does at the box office.
