Marvel has announced that Jessica Stroup (The Following) and Tom Pelphrey (Banshee) are the latest additions to join the cast of the final Marvel and Netflix show Iron Fist.
The two are set to play Joy and Ward Meachum, children of Harold Meachum (David Wenham), who was the business partner of Danny Rand’s father, Wendell Rand. Judging by the following picture teased by the Iron Fist Twitter account, the three children grew up together. But when Danny left for K’un-Lun with his father and disappeared, the siblings stepped in to run Rand Enterprises and built the company up to what it is today. “With the terrific addition of the very talented Jessica and Tom, we’ve now brought the entire Meachum family together,” said Executive Producer/Head of Marvel Television, Jeph Loeb. “While Marvel couldn’t be happier, Danny’s mission just got a lot more complicated.
“I’m very happy to have Jessica and Tom as our Joy and Ward Meachum,” said Executive Producer and Showrunner Scott Buck. “Much like Danny Rand’s past is a mystery to us, we’ll discover along the way that the Meachum children have intriguing secrets of their own.”
