As teased by director James Gunn yesterday, Warner Bros has released the new red band trailer and poster for sequel The Suicide Squad, and it looks like a real blast.
Featuring plenty of gore and blood (thanks in part to King Shark, voiced by Sylvester Stallone), this is definitely going to be an action packed adult sequel. A whole bunch of new convicts have been assembled, including Bloodsport, Peacemaker, Captain Boomerang, Ratcatcher 2, Savant, King Shark, Blackguard, Javelin and to join Harley Quinn and Colonel Rick Flag. Their next mission leads them to the remote, enemy-infused island of Corto Maltese.
Directed by Gunn, the film stars Margot Robbie, Idris Elba, John Cena, Joel Kinnaman, Jai Courtney, Peter Capaldi, David Dastmalchian, Daniela Melchior, Michael Rooker, Alice Braga, Pete Davidson, Joaquín Cosio, Juan Diego Botto, Storm Reid, Nathan Fillion, Steve Agee, Sean Gunn, Mayling Ng, Flula Borg, Jennifer Holland, Tinashe Kajese, Sylvester Stallone, and Viola Davis.
The Suicide Squad is set for release August 2021.
