Warner Bros has unveiled the brand new trailer for Greta Gerwig’s upcoming Barbie movie starring Margot Robbie as the iconic child’s figurine – and it’s as glorious as expected!
Teasing big dance numbers, hilarious grudges between Kens, multiple versions of Barbie and Ken dolls (hello Dua Lipa as mermaid Barbie!) and a Wizard of Oz-esque trip to a new realm, there’s certainly A LOT to be excited about.
The official synopsis is as follows: To live in Barbie Land is to be a perfect being in a perfect place. Unless you have a full-on existential crisis. Or you’re a Ken.
Gerwig has enlisted the help of a whole host of a-list friends alongside Robbie and Ryan Gosling, including Simu Liu, Emma Mackey, Emerald Fennell, Kate McKinnon, Michael Cera, America Ferrera, Kingsley Ben-Adir, Rhea Perlman, Sharon Rooney and Ncuti Gatwa.
Barbie will be opening in UK and Irish cinemas on 21 July 2023.
