Yesterday at CCXP22 (Comic-Con Experience 2022) in São Paulo, Brazil, Marvel Studios (with an introduction from Kevin Feige and Zoe Saldana) debuted the highly anticipated trailer for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.
The trailer once again showcases the franchises’ signature mix of humour and heart, giving us a glimpse of the Guardians in their comic accurate suits, a flashback to a young Rocket, our first look at Will Poulter as Adam Warlock and Peacemaker actor Chukwudi Iwuji as the High Evolutionary.
The third and final instalment in the franchise is undoubtedly James Gunn (and the cast’s) emotional swan song before he heads across to DC, as we say goodbye to this iteration of the cosmic team.
The big question on everyone’s lips is who survives and who dies though, as we know we’re in for an emotional ride following the casts’ response at San Diego Comic Con earlier in the year.
In Marvel Studios Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 our beloved band of misfits are looking a bit different these days. Peter Quill, still reeling from the loss of Gamora, must rally his team around him to defend the universe along with protecting one of their own. A mission that, if not completed successfully, could quite possibly lead to the end of the Guardians as we know them.
Directed by James Gunn, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 stars Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Karen Gillan, Pom Klementieff, featuring Vin Diesel as Groot, Bradley Cooper as Rocket, Sean Gunn, Chukwudi Iwuji, Will Poulter and Maria Bakalova.
The film is set for release on May 5, 2023.
