Channing Tatum’s Gambit looses director Gore Verbinski

Channing Tatum’s X-Men spin-off Gambit seems to be cursed as the project has lost their third director, Gore Verbinski.

According to Deadline, Gore Verbinski has exited the project due to ‘scheduling issues’ but it was noted that it was an amicable split. Filming was scheduled to begin in March 2018, but because of this shake up, 20th Century Fox has pushed the release date back from February 14 2019 release to June 2019.

Verbinkski was the third director line up for the project following the departure of Doug Liman and Rupert Wyatt, which really doesn’t bode well for this film!

Also announced in 20th Century Fox’s release schedule shake up is Deadpool 2, which has been pushed forward two weeks from June 1st to May 18th and The New Mutants, which has been pushed back ten months from April 13 2018 to Feb. 22, 2019.

Gambit is set for release June 2019.
