Arrow: Stephen Amell Hints at Season 5’s Villain

As Arrow concludes its fourth season this week on May 25, star Stephen Amell is already discussing next season, including the villain…

Amell recently spoke to Variety at The CW Upfront in New York City and teased, “I’ve heard that our big bad, our villain, is something that you can really only do once you’re in the fifth, sixth or seventh season of a TV show.” He also hints, “As far as I know, they don’t have superpowers. I’ll tell you that.”

So who could this villain be? Up to this point in the show, most of Arrow’s main big bads have already been included such as Deathstroke, Brick, and Merlyn. This leaves top villains such as Onomatopoeia, Komodo and Constantine Drakon…

Following the recent and super exciting announcement that there will be a four-way crossover with “Arrow,” “Flash,” “Legends” and CW’s newest addition, “Supergirl” Amell also commented, ““I’m always interested and it’s always great for fans. I just have to make sure that they balance keeping up the quality of your show — last year when they wanted me to come to ‘Legends’ and play old Oliver, I was like, ‘That would be awesome, but show me how this works in our schedule so it’s not comprising whatever episode we’re working on.’ And it was great and we did it. So I would just like to see a plan.”

The “Arrow” Season 4 finale airs Wednesday, May 25 at 8 p.m. on The CW.
