Amazon’s animated Invincible series adds Mark Hamill, Sandra Oh and J.K. Simmons!

Amazon recently announced their plans to create an animated series based on Robert Kirkman’s comic book ‘Invincible’. When the news first got out about the series, the Walking Dead’s Steven Yeun was attached to the project to play lead Mark Grayson.

Well according to The Hollywood Reporter, the star-studded cast will now also include J.K. Simmons, Killing Eve’s Sandra Oh, Seth Rogen (who is attached to the feature film take on Invincible), Gillian Jacobs, Andrew Rannells, Deadpool’s Zazie Beetz, Mark Hamill, Walton Goggins, Jason Mantzoukas, Mae Whitman, Chris Diamantopoulos, Melise, Kevin Michael Richardson, Grey Griffin and Max Burkholder.

The series will consist of eight hour-long episodes and will follow Mark Grayson, the son of the most powerful superhero on the planet, Omni-Man, as he begins to develop his powers and become a superhero.

Produced by Kirkman’s Skybound, Simon Racioppa acts as showrunner for Invincible while the pair executive produce alongside David Alpert (The Walking Dead) and Catherine Winder (Star Wars: The Clone Wars). Supervising directors are Justin and Chris Copeland (Ultimate Spider-Man).
