Much has been kept closely under wraps regarding Amazon’s move to adapt stories set in the beloved world of JRR Tolkien’s The Lord Of The Rings to the small screen.
With production wrapping on the first season, the streaming service has finally unveiled a glorious first look image online, teasing an impressively large scale cityscape, set in the rolling hills and mountains.
Set in the Second Age of Middle-earth, thousands of years before the events of The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings, the series follows an ensemble cast of characters as they confront the re-emergence of evil in Middle-earth
The series will be released worldwide on Amazon Prime Video on 2 September next year.
