Captain America: Joe Russo On Black Panther & Wakanda

Captain America: Civil War directors Joe and Anthony Russo have been talking about the film at a Wizard World New Orleans panel and teases how Black Panther has a “very important part in the story” and an “amazing arc.”

The brothers were asked if we’ll see Wakanda in the film, with the response being “Whether or not Wakanda is involved in it remains on the table.” Wakanda is the home of Black Panther/T’Challa (Chadwick Boseman), a technology advanced North African nation in which vibranium (what Cap’s shield is made from) originates from.

Joe Russo then added, “If you’re going to see Wakanda, we go, ‘Listen, we can’t tell you whether or not you’re going to see Wakanda,'” he said. “You’re probably going to see Wakanda.”

Captain America: Civil War will lands in cinemas on May 6, 2016.
